Hi All

Please could any help with any information

George Charles Limming b.09 Mar 1824 Stepney London ?
Parents George Limming/Jane Stedeford?

Lived in New Zealand worked in Hokitika/Wellington in 1854
Married Emma Tydeman in 1869 
Left New Zealand in 31st July 1894 bound for  Sydney Australia on ship TALUNE
But did he stay in Australia cannot find out yet or did he return to england
any information on this I would be gratefull many thanks

Hi there John

No record of any kind in Victoria for the
surname Limming that I can see  Undecided


In NSW I can see a death for William Limming 1910
but again, no record for any other Limmings

Nothing showing on Australian electoral rolls for that surname either.

According  to  the Sands Directory (which  is  like  a  postal directory)  there was a  Reverend  William  Limming  living  in  NSW  for  over  20 years  if that  helps

would you know what church he was a any dates etc could try to find his age and so leads on him

like his birth etc
do you know if he was a Cof E  or Methodist Minister

No  I  am  sorry  I  don't  have anything  further  on  it.

A  copy  of his death certificate  can  be  brought from  the NSW  bdm's for $25  or  using a  transcription  aged $15.00

Sorry about the mix up ref my last post no I do not know if he had any children I am sure that his parents came from stepney london england
but think he could have had a brother and that they came over on a convict ship there were elizabeth limming william limming lewis limming all bound for australia thats about all I know
