I have been shown two old photographs from some friends' family and trying to get as much information as possible on them

Just wondering if anyone has any dates on the photographers.

I think the first is late 1880s and the photographer is
W N Malby Chichester

Walter Noah Malby died 1892 so that fits with my theory of late 1880s.

The girl's dress is 1880-ish style
She is with an elderly man, he is wearing a knee-length white coat, white trousers and black top hat.  Just wondering if white clothes like that had some significance?

I suspect the second might be 1900s and the photographer is
J W Gorsuch 48 Junction Road, Upper Holloway N

He was at that studio until 1911
STUDIOS: 1. 48 Junction Road, Holloway, Islington November 1891 - 1911. Successors to Gorsuch & Ewen.

I will have a look around but be interested to hear if anyone has any dates on these.
