Celia,
You're on dial-up,  I don't experience this on broadband

For what it's worth, even on broadband I sometimes get this same problem - just a gremlin really.   What I do is just wait until 'done' comes up then right click anywhere on a blank bit of screen and you should be able to scroll happily up and down.    I'm told by them what knows (in this case someone 36 years my junior!!) that ... 'quite simply its a refresh problem'.

Hi Celia,

I have the same problem on long topics and I suspect the following:

- the web page is loaded from the (rootschat) server.
- the "done" means that the page is now on your computer
- the browser then needs time to build up the page and display it in your browser.

This is why it "sticks" sometimes.
If you don't have a lot of RAM storage in your computer, or if you have a slow processor, then the "sticky" time is longer.

On my laptop (450 Mhz, 192 MB storage) it can sometimes take up to 20 seconds before I can start working.

This another way of saying:

its been sticking for the last 6 months months.I had actualy wondered if it was the pop up add that we now get on rootschat.while i am here Grin i have had to make so many changes to fix problems recently, hopefully all done Grin by using accesability and the other thingmebob on the control panel coulor background and so on. BUT At the moment  i have a blinding white screen which i prieviously fixed Roll Eyes Cant remember where now)I can change the font size on the drop down menu but the Post, preview, & spell check buttons are much to big how do make them smaller.
