Very few people with Limming surname on 1870-1920 US Censuses: 1 in 1870 to a high of 22 in 1880.  Even fewer born England.

Only 3 I found b. England were in 1900:  James in New Mexico (40 yo); John in Minnesota (52); and Mary B. in Massachusetts (52).

Luck with your search,

Nick

It appears the immigration record of Robert Limming in March 1956 was an "in transit" stopover in New York.  Final destination was R. R. 3,  Campbellsville, Ontario and he travelled with father Dick and mother Elizabeth.

I didn't easily see Maria's arrival in 1893. There is one record indexed as:

Name: Mary Liming
Arrival Date: 25 Aug 1947
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1887
Age: 60
Gender: Female
Port of Departure: Southampton, England

but she was b. Worthing Sussex and her husband Leonard was in London. She traveled to the US to visit her married daughter in Nebraska.

Best wishes
Jean
