Does anyone know if the name "Duchess of Sheppey" had any relevance in the late 19th \ early 20th centuries (1890-1910). Was it perhaps a tiltle given to people say in a pageant, or perhaps a name of a building etc

Hi David

Would it help us to know the context in which you have found reference to the "Duchess of Sheppey"?

Hi Casalguidi

Its a name by which a person was apparantly known and i am trying to workout if its a nickname eg like some people were called Queenie or as i say a role she played maybe in a pageant or even if it refers to a building where she lived.

Thanks

David
