Hi from New Zealand
I am tracking my great grandparents family left behind when they emigrated to NZ in 1878.
From at least 1917 to 1935 I have the STEPHENS family of mother Fanny, sons Arthur William & Ernest Harry and daughter Mabel Hannah living at 787 Alum Rock Rd. The children were born 1901 to 1905.
Father George Ernest Stephens died in 1917 during service overseas.
Might anyone have lived nearby or is there someone who could advise names of schools in the area which I could try for admissions/departures, or centennial books or similar?
Grateful for any ideas I could reseach!

My Nana lived a few doors down on Alum Rock Rd from 1930's till 1950s.
If you go to David Fishers WONDERFUL Blog, You will see photos of Alum Rock Rd.

How amazing - seems like our rellies were neighbours for a time!
I have looked at the site - he is a keen fellow!
He even took photos of all the houses my olds lived in for me including 787!
I will follow up on that school anything is worth a shot!
