Clifford Britton-Bristol

Looking for info on Clifford Britton born Bristol June 1912..(Bristol 6a 112).
Mother's maiden name was Chappell. Clifford was proberly in RAF during ww2. Would like to know his fathers and mothers christian names and when they were married.

Hi Scorpio

Your best bet would be to buy the birth certificate;  that will give you both parents' names , from which it will be easier to track them back.

I can't spot a Britton/Chappell marriage, so both first names would be needed to find the correct one ;  spouse names do no appear on BMD marriages before 1911.

There are 4 combinations of Britton / Chappell marriages twixt 1895 and 1915 on FreeBMD - only 2 of them are in the correct male/female surname.

One is in Swansea and one in Greenwich .... your best bet really is to get the Birth Cert.
