Great Great Grandchildren
« on: Wednesday 14 May 08 10:47 BST (UK) »

I have just read an obituary in the local newspaper for a 94 year old gentleman who is remembered by his wife, his children, his grandchildren,  his great grandchildren and his great great grandchildren.

How many people are lucky enough to have known their great great grandparents?

Although she hadn't actually met all of them, my great granny had half a dozen great great grandchildren by the time she died Smiley

My half-great-grand uncle, who died in 1991 aged 99, had great great grandchildren.

My great great grandmother died in 1982. Her first great great grandchild, my sister, was born in 1983.  Sad I can't even claim it on a technicality as she died before my mother fell pregnant.
