Hi all, its lovely hearing all these place names again! My sister married an Ellams from Wellbrook Close! I am a teensie bit older but my sister taught at St Christophers and  our friends the Venables, Adlens and Toweys all lived up your end!! Must go and look at your site.

L'pool lass
I remember the Ellmas very well
They lived in no1 wellbrook close
Anne was the youngest wasn't she
I think she was a lot younger than the brother/sister
I'm not sure what siblings she had.
I remember the Venables lived in Linner road
And the Toweys lived in Stapleton ave

Hi,

Thanks for the comments.
It's not my site, I'm just one of the volunteers. The site is managed by Dave Wood of http://www.liverpoolpictorial.co.uk/ fame.

If anyone is interested in old pictures of Burlington and Prince Edwin Streets, then check my site out at http://www.leverpoole.co.uk/

See you,

Hi Heysie, Yes these are the families! Had a look at the site now but didn't recognise any names I'm afraid! Nice to see the pictures though.

Just wanted to say the site looks brill.

I also went to Speke Comp, I started there in 1968 and was in Sefton House.

I was also married in All Saints Church in 1978.

P.S. My husband lived in Lovell Way.

Here's a few more images.

Ruskin St., L4, looking towards Everton Valley.

Dale St., L2

Marldon Chambers, North John St., L2

We are still looking for volunteers. This will be a valuable archive in years to come. All you have to do is take a few photos of your local streets. If every person took 10 pics we'd finish this project in a few months.

See you,

Tony
