Hello Eddie I have Grace on the 1841-71 censuses. She is believed to be my wife's 4xgreat grandmother. I have a copy of daughter Sarah's (Sally's) marriage certificate to Timothy Luke and an entry on Freereg for son Henry Francis, which shows his father as a Mine Agent. I have been in touch with a descendant of Henry who has his parents as John Davey and Grace Williams, born 1783 in Redruth, but this doesn't tie up with the census details and Grace would probably be too old to be Henry's mother. We believe that Henry's parents are John Davey and Grace Jennings who married on 7th April 1816 in St Erth and they had a son, John (the ancestor), born in 1820 in St Erth. Unfortunately, John only gives his birth place as Cornwall on the censuses, except for one which isn't legible. His marriage certificate gives his father's occupation as a (Mine) Agent, which ties up with Henry's father. Does any of this match your history? Regards, David

Hi David John Davey and Grace Jennings marriage date as yours are my wifes 3 gr grandparents so must be the same family. We have Grace baptized 21 Aug 1791 St Erth Matthew/Sarah from Cornwall BMDs, assume this to be her at the moment. Haven't found John yet but think he is from Gwinear as Sarah/Sally gives her birth as Gwinear in the census and we have a John 1816, Grace 1817, and James 1825 all born Gwinear. There is a John Davey chr 4 May 1794 Gwinear in Family Search father George and mother Sarah or Sally Austin but not too sure on this yet. Henry Francis is our line, in 1841 he is an Engineer and in 1851 he may be the one in Cardiganshire a Lead Miner with the Dunstone's. Just tried Freereg but could not pick up Henry Francis.
