I found it too - but had a little cry with
"supported by her children"

slowed me down!

Hello Tati, Lizdb & Trish, you are all good lasses which i thank you very much.  I had to smile at reading `Supported by her children` hope you`ve dried your eyes now Trish.  Smiley  I am wondering if Agness and Elizabeth are one of the same as i found a marriage for Elizabeth Agnes Coram but can`t find a baptism or birth for her.  What do you think. And yes i will have the other census you mentioned please also if you can find Henry`s baptism and marriage. Thank you. Regards Gladys Smiley

1861
RG9 1457 83 15
Cottage
Buckland Monachorum

Joseph Coram 30 Copper Miner
Sarah 27
John 6
Mary Jane 4
James 2
Samuel 6 mths
MAry Ann Gill 80 widow lodger "Receiving pay from parish" Cry

(Out come the tissues again, Trish)

RG9 1462 47 2
Calstock Cornwall
Thomas Floyd 34 copper miner bn Lydford
Sarah 29 bn Tavistock
MAry Ann 14 bn Buckland
Richard J 2 bn Calstock Cornwall
Elizabeth 3 mths    "

Richard is indexed as aged 12, but I reckon image is dash2, as Mary Ann is dash14 - and she is not 114!!

Looks as if Thomas's first wife must have been one of the Coram girls, but then widowed or something, so Mary with grandparents, then Saraha second marriage.  But that is all speculation att his stage.

I can handle the parish support  Cheesy - but when a widow feels she must write "supported by her children" rather than leave it blank I think it shows she is so proud that her children are looking after her, which no doubt everyone noticed.

I was going to mention the Cornwall census being free online - but then saw I was looking up Devon -  so as liz seems to have got you back to cornwall - you may find lots of information from the Cornwall parish clerk site
http://cornwall-opc.org/  -  I found lots about my cornish ancestors there  Smiley
