I have just found the baptisms records for Sarah and Williams children and on each one Sarahs name is registered as "Davey Lately Bloomfield", I have never seen this before, does this mean that Sarah and William weren't married? Any ideas anyone Jooles

Mother's maiden surnames are not always given on baptismal entries, though when they are they are usually written as " Late SMITH" etc. They would also be written in this fashion if the woman had been previously married. Preumably William is also mentioned on the entries or was only Sarah mentioned?
If you are certain that Sarah was born a BLOOMFIELD then there is nothing remarkable about the baptismal entries, though it is odd that the couple do not appear on the Suffolk Marriage Index. This might mean that she was a widow when she married or that the couple did not marry in Suffolk or were not married between 1813 and 1837.
hi Rick Yes William is mentioned on the baptisms and no I am not sure Sarah was born Bloomfield, the baptisms were all we had to go on with regards her name. Maybe they never married!! thank you anyway jooles
Surnames include: FRANCIS in Glamorgan / LANWORN in Monmouth / BLACKMAN, RUSSELL in Sussex / KEARSEY, BARLTROP in Essex / TOOKEY in Leicestershire / LASHMORE in London and Kent / GOODWIN, PASQUE, ATTOE, FISK, QUINTON, RUFFLES, CULLINGFORD and others in Suffolk / MAYOSS anywhere anytime! / GILMORE in Belfast
I have checked all the census that I have for Sarah and her birth years on them range from 1793 - 1801!!! I'll repost the message and see if someone can do a parish check up for me, thank you very much Jooles
