I have now discovered some information from my elderly mother that hasnt come to light before; She tells me that when she was a child she went to stay with her aunt in Wombourne when she wa abt 7/8 yrs of age. Shewas there for 6 months, going to school in the town. So now we have names of Beatrice and Leonard Smith; (her being nee Wells) They had a son Eric who was possibly b abt abt 1918. We have found a birth for an Eric A Smith abt this time, mother being a Wells surname. i am hoping for an electoral role that may have been done while my mother was living there, but i know this is a remote possiblity. Her name was Florence Birdaged abt 6/7 yrs;
Florence wouldn't show on the electoral roll..she was way to young to vote!
However, in 1935 there was a Leonard and Beatrice Smith living at 21 Alexander Road, Acocks Green as well as a Perkins, Jones and a Lewis.
There were other combos of Leonard and Beatrice but with second names so i don't know if they are yours or not.
