On the free ancestry site there are a number of marriages listed on the Pallots directory. Most Leer families in Surrey/London and Middlesex area appear to come from the same family. Does someone have the resources to find any Leer marriages before 1837 or is that too big an ask . I am desperate to connect all the families with an ancestor but I have very few of the earlier dates before 1837. The ones I saw on pallots are: Wm Leer and Mary Baynton Chas Leer and Cathe Brown Sami Leer and Elzth Garbet Richard Leer and Mary Lawrence Wm Leer and Jane Sutton Christopher Leer and Hannah Viner Ann Leer and John Wood
Any Leer marriages at all would be fantastic Many thanks, fingers crossed Shauna

Wow, What angels you both are to give me all that info. I am over the moon. William Richard and Charlotte Sutton are my gtx4 grandparents and I am pretty sure Frances Berrington was his 2nd wife. His first wife at a stretch could be Richard and Mary Lawrence although I dont know where Salop is. I think Wm who married Mary Baynton could be the marriage of his son from his 1st marriage. I think Christopher could be a brother and Saml and Charles either other sons or nephews. The LDS has a Christopher Jacob Leer born 14/2/1762 St Olave Southwark Leer and James leer born 29/7/1864 St Olave Southwark to parents Christopher Jacob Leer and Mary maybe one of them is the father of William Richard . Your info is getting me closer to solving the mystery and filling in the gaps. All I need to find is a marriage around 1757. I am so very grateful for your help. Kindest regards Shauna

Thanks Tati, I am slowly discovering a lot of new place names. As there so few Leers compared to other names I am not discounting any. It was a long shot claiming Richard as William R . Thanksagain for your help Cheers Shauna

Thanks Jane, I will keep the Elizabeth Leer but as yet there are no connections to the Lears. My William Richard's 1st marriage may have been in another county if he cant be found. I appreciate your help. Cheers Shauna
