This is a picture of my late Grandmother, she was born in 1904 and I think she may have been about 18 when the photo was taken. The original is postcard size and I would like a larger copy but the creases get worse.

It is much easier to repair if the original is larger.
If you want a large copy to print then you would be much better off in scanning at original size at 300 dpi. You can out a file size up to 500kb on here.

Hi, I have printed the photo 7x5 as it looks perfect like that, the rest of my family will be so pleased at the way it has turned out. Once again thank you so much.

Hi Lyn, Been trying to get a date for you on the photo, but it's not proving easy - does the photograph have anything on the back, please? Paulene

Hi Willow, The photo is a postcard, seemed to have been popular in the early 1900's, I have several. I am presuming Gran was about 18 and that the picture was taken around the time of her mothers death in 1922. For whatever reason portraits seem to have been taken sometime time near a funeral. I have one of her aged around 10 with her mother and brother, all dressed in dark clothing and think that was done when her older sister died in 1914.

Think I would go with Paula, and say 1920-1922. Don't think it's later than 1922, as the shape of the dresses was much straighter after 1922. Could do with watching one of the D H Lawrence films! Paulene
