Hi everyone, Is there anyone who can help? I am trying to trace any relatives of my grandfathers (Gregory Tabb Honey, born 02/1/1890, Port Isaac, Cornwall) brother and sister in law: - George and Annie Brown (nee Bradshaw) Honey, born 1886 & 1887 respectively, Port Isaac, Cornwall, England. They migrated to Fremantle, Australia, departing from London on 20th December 1912 aboard the SS Gothic. George was believed to have joined the Australian Army at the outbreak of World War 1 and been killed in action in Europe. Annie and their son returned to the UK after the war, but could not settle and returned to Australia. Not sure where. Is their anyone who could help or point my in the direction I need to go. Thanks, Stratford.

There is a George Honey of the Australian army who died in WWI: http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=721233 (but no info on age, family, etc, given).
http://www.naa.gov.au/collection/recordsearch.aspx - first place to look is here. George Honey's WWI papers are here. Next of kin wife Ann Brown Honey. Service number is the same as the cwgc record.
In 1916, Ann's address is given in WA, c/o John Bradshaw (her brother)? (page 11) A change of address is given for her in 1921 (page 13), still c/o John Bradshaw. There are a few letters in her own hand. The son, James William Honey, is named in the pension records.
ETA: http://www.mcb.wa.gov.au/ - Ann Brown Honey died in 1965, and James William Honey in 1951 (aged just 36).

Hi, Can I say a sincere thanks to sparrett (Sue), briant (BrianT) & jorose (unknown) for info provided and pointing me in the direction I need to go. From this I now know that SS Gothic docked in Fremantle 26/02/1913. I now need to concentrate on where George & Annie Honey settled, military service of George Honey, where/when he was killed, where Annie and her son settled on return to Australia and whether there are any surviving descendants. Once again, many thanks for your help in getting me started. Regards, Stratford. (In a chilly and wet UK!!!)

Hi, From the http://www.slwa.wa.gov.au/ post office directories,
1923-1929, Mrs Ann B Honey lived at, 8 Crawford Rd,Maylands,Perth,WA, 1929-1949 She was living at 114 North Ave,Maylands,Perth,WA,
You can get a funeral application form for Ann off the MCB site,it will give you where she was living before she died and maybe next of kin,it costs about £2-50ish
Ann,s Application No KC00024560
