Help please - HUNTER
« on: Saturday 17 May 08 13:19 BST (UK) »

Seeking information regarding my great grand uncle George HUNTER believed born 1836, christened 8th May 1836 at Wentworth and two of his sisters Sarah christened 25th May 1828 and Mary christened 13th June 1830.  Parents were Charlotte ROSS b c 1805 in Wentworth d 1849, and William HUNTER b c 1805 Darfield d 1875.

I have George in 1851 aged 14 living with his father, some of his siblings and stepmother Sarah (ALLOTT).
I believe I have him in 1861 age 24 a Sgt in the Royal Artillery at the military barracks at Shoeburyness, place of birth given as Sheffield. RG9/1086 Folio 60 Page 14

I have Sarah in 1851 working as a domestic servant at the local school, and Mary is at home with father after that I lose them.
Siblings of George were Sarah 1828-?, Mary 1830-?, Sabina 1832-1850, Job 1834-1868, William 1840-1900, Hannah 1842-1850 & Samuel 1844-1865

Then I loose him, if this family is familiar to anyone I would be VERY pleased to hear from you.
