Hi All, is there anyone who could look on the above census for Thomas Gaff and his wife Christian. I know that about 1890 they were living at Tannoch Mill in Cumbernauld. On their MC Thomas is listed as a manufacturing chemist.

Hi Ambly, thanks thats them. Christian's place of birth is wrong, she was born in St Ninians Stirling but we'll not quibble over a few miles. I've never found any children for this couple and was hoping perhaps the census would show some but it doesn't look as if they had any.
Next day off ( weather permitting ) I must take a walk up the hill and see if I can find Black Mill Cottage, it might still be there.
