Hi
Can anyone find a marriage for me.
I have 18/01/1836 from the IGI
William Shelcott and Charlotte Mark.
Any further information would be much appreciated

Its as you say on the Suffolk Marriage Index, except William is down as Shilcot.
Its to be assumed they were both of the parish of Bawdsey at time of marriage (not necessarily birth parish) as the index doesn't indicate otherwise.

I'm afraid its very unlikely to give a fathers name before civil reg which began in 1837.

If only they'd married the following year. Cry Cry
