Hello Kathy. I am sorry I should have said the gravestone was from the 1980's. Do you still want the inscription?

If you do I will send it via the personal message board because it is after the 1950's. that is the  cut off point I use for posting on the main board.

That would be great. Thank you. I have not been able to trace this family very far into the present and am having difficulty finding any of their graves so anything will help.

Hello Kathy:- Here is another burial. This time no gravestone. It is from the Catholic Church of St Thomas, Wolsingham.
I have put this one on the board in case there are other Stainthorp researchers:-

Elizabeth Stainthorp, died 9/November/1939 aged 87 years.

Hello Barbara. here are two inscriptions:-

In affectionate remembrance of John Hamilton, who died January/29/1873 aged 26 years.
Also Joseph, son of the above who died June/24/1874 aged 2 years.

In affectionate remembrance of Thomas Fletcher, who died march/20/1875 aged 41 years.

There are others for both Hamilton and Fletcher but they are from the late 1990's.

This is my first day on this site so I hope I am in the right place.
We have a connection to the Newtons in Wolsingham up to 1789.   I would be very grateful for anything you might have.

Many thanks for your time.

Sacred to the memory of Mary Ann? Newton of Lumley, who died March/18/1845 aged 46? or 16?
The rest of the stone is unreadable.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.  I think the Newtons may help me push back the boundaries.
