Hello Bob,

This is JDC and I am going to make the same query as I did in the immigration - Canada topic.

Greeting everyone,

I'm looking for info regarding my g-grandfather Carl Coy (aka Francis "Charles" Coy) who moved from Karleschrue (spelling not correct, but close) to Canada about 1870-02 and married Mary Lenzie from Baden Switzerland  in Hamilton, ON in 1876. Charles and Mary resided in Hamilton the rest of their lives. I am attempting to trace Carl and his family back in Germany. Any help is appreciated. Thx,

JDC

Hi JDC,

not sure if there is a misunderstanding here.
The german forum is called  Ahnenforschung.org
and the address is at http://forum.genealogy.net/forum

You can register there for free, and I suggest you post your query on the Emigration board:
http://forum.genealogy.net/ahnenforschung/forum/requests-for-searches/board8-emigration/

See you there Smiley

Hi Bob,

Thx for this message, I guess there was a bit of misunderstanding on my part :-) I did go to the German website and have regisitered with same name as RC. I don't have time at the moment to enter a posting there, but likely I will have enough time to do so later today. Do I just post in english?

Cheers,
JDC
