It woke my family up and they went out side to see what happened. I thought it was thunder because we were having a really bad storm at the time. I went back to sleep and missed it all  Roll Eyes

I live just west of Yonge between Yonge and Sheppard and Yonge and Finch...my family could see the fire cloud from our back porch and hear all the subsequent explosions.......far away of course. My son said it was like a popping sound and then kind of like a fire cracker display after each pop. Can you imagine what it must have been like for the people who lived closer  Huh

Karen et al:

Glad you put the notice back up,,,as I haven't been online for awhile.

I was wondering if the explosion was going to cancel our 'meet and greet' but sounds like the Yorkdale Mall is back in operation.

I was kind of looking forward to using Milestone's Gluten free menu as I too am Celiac, but will probably be able to find something to order off the regualr menus. I too agree, I'm not in for the $25 lunch, but as long as they keep the coffee coming,,,we know the chatting will flow anyway.

I'm coming to Toronto on Aug 22 (to stay with my daughter and to attend a Blue Jay's game and then stay to attend our gathering) but will check online over that weekend in case any plans/locations change. Guess that is the only way to get in contact with those of us coming from out of town.

Mab....sorry about all the 'stressors' around your son's wedding. Just keep smiling...they will get married in spite of all the mysteries,,,but just enjoy the day!

Not a problem Homey...I have advised the restaurant that there are two people who would be interested in Gluten free alternatives and they have made a note of that on our reservation.

Tom:

I for one would appreciate it if you were able to bring your laptop. I won't be lugging mine as I'm 'travelling light'. That way you can share any research tips with those of us that have not had as much luck in searching as we'd like. I'm always asking 'where did you go to find that?"..so still have lots to learn.
thanks,

Rehearsal over...check...rehearsal dinner...check.....tomorrow is the big day....it'd better not bl**dy rain   Angry

Even with a set menu at the rehearsal dinner at a different restaurant, it took ages for the food to arrive so I feel better about doing the standard menu because it really doesn't matter does it  Undecided I think I'm in stress mode  Grin...Next weekend I will be my usual normal sane self....maybe  Cool

Off topic I know but whatever...... Smiley
