Could anyone check 1901 Census for Edith Truscott 25 yrs b. ? 1876 Plymouth please?
Believe she was Edith Mayoss  in 1891 prior to her marriage - but still trying to find this info.

What a shame John isn't with Edith in 1901 .. I've had a quick look but don't seem able to find anyone you could definitely say might be him in earlier years .. !

Thank you - wondering if John was away at sea a lot of the time.
There is a definite naval connection, have a photo of family with
him in uniform.

The only thing I can advise Knellie .. is for you to send for the Mayoss/Truscott marriage certificate, this will help you to find out more information with reference to John.
Just checked on FreeBMD and there are several births in Devon around that time for someone of this name .. !
