Hi,
I've hit a wall with this one, I'm looking for the parents of:
ISOBELLA STEVENS b. c1836 married JOHN ROSE b. 1833 on 25 Sept 1857 at PEEBLES.
Any help you cleaver people can give me, will be appreciated. Thank you.

I have found them and family on census from 1861 to 1901 (after their marriage). Being a novice, I'm not 100% sure, that I can Identify them correctly prior to their marriage. Any advice, please?

Look at their marriage certificate on ScotlandsPeople - it includes the parents' names, both father and mother. Note it is a pay per view site, but not that expensive since you know the date of the event and the names that you are searching for.

Since it is after the beginning of civil registration in Scotland and the data on the IGI in this instance is gathered from the registers themselves, I think it is there.
I just tried with minimal information - just the groom's name, the year and the county. Only one match. Even trying just the surnames - Rose and Stevens - just the one match. Full name for groom and Is* Stevens - still only one match. John Rose and Isabella Stevens - only 1 match. I'd go for it! 
It also looks as if one of the pair lived in Traquair - proclaimed in that parish too (from the parish register by the looks of it).
