Does anyone know if there are any pre - 1837 transcriptions ( other than IGI ) in any form for the marriage registers of St. Nicholas Church in Liverpool - on line, book, CD  Huh

Thanks

Hi Mab

Lancashire Online Parish Clerks have some St Nicholas records. If you go to this link and type in the surname you might be lucky.

http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/cgi-bin/mkindx.cgi?parish=Liverpool&type=District&community=Liverpool+Central

Also Anguline Research Archives have a CD of the earliest St Nicholas registers 1660-1704. You can find them here http://anguline.co.uk/

Good luck with the search.

Regards

Hi Mab

Some registers for St Nicholas Church do exist as I have a photocopy of the marriage register for 13 August 1815.

Now the tricky question how did I get it Huh   It was through this site about 2 years ago when a very kind member (Liverpool based lady- name unknown) volunteered to search on my behalf.    It was then e-mailed to me as an attachment.

Not the ideal answer for you but at least you know registers exist.

Good luck

Gerry

I have a copy of the 1660-1704 registers.

Who ever transcribed it must have been on the olde port wine as it reads...
