Could someone please tell me how to get a copy of Banns.I have a Ellen Henesy and George Larkin marrying in St Anne's Soho 1829. On the 1841 census it has Ellen born Ireland and on the 1851 born London.Wondering if the Bann's would give fathers names.
Thank you so much for the reply.I do know that George Larkin was born in Chessington. The only thing with his wife Ellen is on the 1841 census she is down as born Ireland then on the 1851 census she is born London.I was just hoping that on the Bann's there would be a father and maybe where she was born.As i in Australia can not get to the records office, Thanks once again,
Sorry not to have replied to your request sooner but it was half term holidays last week and I'm just catching up here.
I'm currently doing London Metropolitan Archives and Westminster Archives look-ups (see my posts at the top of the London & Middx boards)
I'm trying to go to each on alternate weeks, this week it's the LMA next week Westminster.
I'll add you to my Westminster list.
Have you got a transcription of the 1829 marriage? although the witnesses relationships aren't mentioned, you may be lucky and recognise the names, as long as they weren't the parish professionals whose names appear all over the register. If you don't have the details I'll look for those too.
Thanks for the reply. The only information i have is what is on Ancestry. That is really kind of you to add my request to your list. Was not sure how to get any extra information from the Pallot's record. Once again thanks.
I've had a message from Julie that this look-up is now complete.
Rootschatters are asked to amend their subject headings to show 'Completed' when their request has been dealt with, then the moderators move them off this board.
