Help please from anyone who may have the following Brown in their family. Without definite places and dates I am really stuck.

ELIZA BROWN was my Gx2 Grandmother and all I have been able to establish so far about her birth is that she was born Co Tyrone possibly c1834.  Her father was JOHN BROWN, a Shoemaker.

Eliza married Thomas Carroll an RIC member in St Mary's Church Dublin in 1867 by license. Thomas according to his RIC record had all his postings in Tipperary South Region so I'm still trying to figure out why they wed in Dublin.

Eliza and Thomas had 4 children, Eliza, Thomas Charles, John James and Joseph Nicholas, all born Tipperary.
