Thanks for the info on John but i should have said Catherine is probably in her 60s then and the one you found is her son John and his wife another Catherine . Could you please find something on Catherine she was probably in the same area.

sorry cannot see any catherine sinclair that fits your criteria had a look for a catherine mcduff no luck either all i could see was catherine duff born 1791 in little dunkeld i only have access to ancestry so cannot see the actual image only what has been transcribed so it is possible duff should read mcduff

Your definatly on the right track i found on Catherine's death certificate (1865) her father was Donald Duff and on her marriage's entry it list her father as Donald Mc Duff.

from the IGI not sure whether you have this name. cathrine duff. birth; 13th dec 1789 place; little dunkeld. parents; donald duff-christian (possibly christine)mclaren. ext record

That's definatly her i did not have the month or day just the year. I do think her mother's maiden name was Mclaren it was hard to make out in Catherine's death certificate but i am sure now.
