Hello,

Looking for the parents/siblings of James Rowcastle Smoult who married Alice Ann Cockburn (b 1884 Wallsend) in 1908 Tynemouth.

I have found two births: December (Q) 1871 S. Shields, and June (Q) 1885 Tynemouth - both show James Rewcastle Smoult. Not sure which birth is the correct one. I do have details of five children from the (1908) marriage. Any details from 1891/1901 Census would be a great help. Thankyou.

Do you have his father's name - from the marriage certificate? The 15 year difference in the births you found means father would be useful to know whether we've found the right one Huh

Printer - I think I have found both these lads in 1891 and 1901, and the older one in 1881 also.

The respective parents are Rewcastle and Abigail for the elder James and Michael and Elizabeth for the younger.
