Does anyone recognise this man?

Can anyone give me a modern name for a diagnosis of Mania and Delusions, with a comment later added "a demented youth"?   The "demented youth" was 27 years old at the time.  Huh  The delusions took the form of thinking people were talking about him and putting information in newspapers and on billboards.

Almost certainly 'Paranoid Delusions', so my OH says, and she should know Smiley

Mania was used to cover a multitude of undiagnosed psychological illnesses. Today the word is no longer used due to its vagueness.
