A new Local Studies and Archives Department was opened at the Kerry County Library Headquarters just over six years ago. This department acts as a resource centre for the large number of varied enquiries in this field, both from people living in Ireland and others who live further afield. The  service provides extended facilities for research and study of materials relating to the history, topography, antiquities and genealogy of the county.  www.kerrycountylibrary.com/local.asp
