I need a look up of william Hardcastle born 1811 Sunderland Durham. His father was also called William Hardcastle born roughly 1780. He was a shipowner. The family Wiliam Hardcastle Jnr that is lived in Stockton on tess from 1851 census to 1881 census he died in 1888.
Wifes name was Mary Wright.
In 1851 His sister or Siter in law was living with him Name Mary Ann Hardcastle born 1799.
any help would be great as I am now stuck at this point in time!

I need Durham look ups!!!!
william Hardcastle of 2 Finkle Street 1871 Census
1881 Census.
I'm trying to find his family.
1851 I know he was living with his wife, son and sister or sister in law.
Names:
Mary Ann Hardcastle born 1799 roughly
William Hardcastle Chemist in 1871 to 1881 died 1888 married 1845. He is down as a shipowner on his marriage certificate.
Born 1811 in Bishopwearmouth or Sunderland Census's vary.
1851 ref 773
1851 St Thomas
Wife Mary Hardcastle nee Wright.
His son was born in stockton in June 1850. 1871 to 1901 living in Stockton. Soda water Manufacturer. Married Emily Godkin.
I need to fill in the gaps for 1841 1861 and find his father and mother.
I'm hoping he was living at home in 1841.
Please please Help...

Found William in High St, Stockton
1841 census HO107/317 f.28 p.5
Household consisted of:
Christopher Lodge 55 Chemist Yes (born in county)
William Hardcastle 30 SL (or SH) Yes
Mary Bell 40 FS No
Mary Wright 20 FS No
Maybe this Mary Wright female servant became his wife? William's occupation is either S.L or S.H, don't know what that is but perhaps shop helper (only guessing!) Other shops in the area have owners as eg Draper then a couple of people with SL or SH as occupations and then a couple of servants.
If I get time will look for father William in Sunderland

No, there are only 4 columns in 1841 census, name, age, occupation and whether or not born in the county, in this case, Durham. So Mary Wright born in Catterick, had an N in 4th column - not born in Durham (Catterick is in North Yorkshire)
