can anyone check out a passage for  female  C Cain born 1899 left liverpool for india bombay 1927
in 1940 it shows her again leaving liverpool for same place, i find this strange to be going there in these years i am hoping it says she was isle of man thank you

I had relatives in Bombay in 1930s and 1940s and the parents lived in India but sent their only child to boarding school in England. Each year the son went from England to New York and mother from India to New York to spend summer with relatives in US. Have you tried looking for any other Cains travelling Liverpool to Bombay the same year?

The passenger record to which you refer to in 1927 is for a Mrs Cain b. 1899 not C Cain and she is travelling 1st class with her husband Mr T H Cain and a 18 months year old daughter.

The record in 1940 is again for a Mrs Cain b. 1899 travelling 1st Class with her husband Mr D S Cain and 6 year old daughter.
