I wonder if anyone can help me please.
I have reason to believe that John Evans b 1826, Llangadfan, Montgomeryshire married Elizabeth Ellis bc 1826 Wrexham?
If anyone has access to Marriage records would they be able to confirm the names of the two fathers please? Also any other details

As it was a civil marriage and not in the established church, you'd only be able to get the parents' names by getting the certificate.

Thank you Gadget. I hadn't thought of that of course. No Parish records as it wasn't religious.
Unless of course it was Non-conformist.

But as you won't know which non-C of E establishment the ceremony took place in unless you get the certificate, it seems that the certificate might be the only way forward.

I only asked because so many people on here seem to have access to records on CD rom etc.
I thought I would ask before I go forking out again for more certificates.

Unfortunately, the Blackwell non-conformist index for Denbighshire only goes to 1837 when civil registration began.
