How to copy and save Favourites Links

Hi All,

I am changing ISP and need to copy my favourites links so that I can put them into new site.

Can anyone tell me how to do this please. Idiots guide needed. Grin

In IE go to File on the menu bar and then go to Import/Export Wizard  follow the instructions given there to Export the favorites List and it will create an exported version of your list.
The file can then be copied to disc, memory stick or whatever to allow transfer

To transfer them into a new set up its the same procedure but you use the "Import" option rather than export


PS if you are only changing ISP's then your favorites list should not be affected by the transfer although if you follow the above it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks Falkryn I was just trying to remind myself and pass on to Calmar how to do it in IE  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I use it so infrenquently these days.  Grin

Margaret, I tend to do this anyway in case something should happen and I lose all my favourites, I have so many family history ones that are important to me.

Given the amount of effort we put into collecting the favorites or Bookmarks it makes sense to have a back up "just in case" - The more important the piece of information the more likely that it will get lost.  Wink
