I've just been checking indigogirl's thread:
The family you refer to are all born Ruabon: 1861 - RG9/4283 Folio 3 Page 25 Edward, 49, carter Mary, 46 Benjamin, 20, carpenter Mary, 17, milliner (own account) All born Ruabon - unless there is another one which I can't find At this time Robert, snr, was 65. Do you think that this Edward's father was a Benjamin? Gadget This is the same family that I have just found for you. I assume that Indigo and you are related in some way as you mention her. She mentions Benjamin and Ned as being neighbours of her family.
I suggest that you read the full thread here:

There is a lot of information on it that might be relevant to your searches.

Arddwr, hello Gadget Rhos marriage Oct 14 1863.
Benjamin Edwards. 22. bachelor. Joiner. abode, Rhos. Father, Edward. Occ, Carrier. Mary Williams. 22. spinster. servant. abode, Rhos. Father, Edward. Occ, Collier. Witnesses. Joseph Jones & Mathew Jones.
I couldn't see any baptisms in Rhos or Ruabon for their children So Gadget, we still can't say for sure who sired Edward

Hi Paul
It does confirm the marriage is the correct one and Mary is a Williams but her father was not John.

William - read the first posting - it's a translation from the Welsh

If there is a connection to Robert Edwards b c1790 as a possible father of Edward then this may be relevant
" marriage by Banns at Ruabon Parish Church of Robert Edwards and Sarah Jones 19th August 1822. They are listed as both of Ruabon at the time of their marriage. Gadget" (Posted on the thread mentioned above)
I notice there is a Jones nephew in 1861 and Jones witnesses to marriage 1863
Then again...... Jones! Its not like its Humperdink
