James Cavanagh Baptism Record 29/3/1778 lists Maurice Cavanagh as his father and Mary his mother. The Address is Oldcourt. The Parish/District is Athy. Denomination:Roman Catholic. Sponsor 1: Thomas Kelly. Sponsor 2: Mary Campion.

We are searching for any information on the Maurice & Mary Cavanagh family, Athy, Co. Kildare. My 3rd great Grand Father, James Cavanagh homestead property in Co. Washtenaw, Michigan, USA James came through Ellis Island and his name was changed to Cavender. His changed his name back to Cavanaugh for the 1871 Michigan, USA Census. James married Eliazbeth Flood who we suspect is from Co. Kildare. They raise 10 children in Michigan, USA

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
