Hi Velcro, Mary Clarke and Mathew Dickason are my Great Great Great Grandparents! She was born in 1815 in London according to my information, but I don't know the day or month. She died 6.4.1885 in Buckingham St Richmond. Are we related by any chance?

Hi Velcro,
I am also researching a Clark/Clarke family from Iselworth London.
I have traced back to John Clarke who married Sarah Rutter in Greenwich in 1807. John was a widower. I have no details on his first wife or family.
They had Sarah 1811, John 5 August 1813, MARY ANN 25 December 1815, & Martha 10 March 1819 all born in Iselworth and baptised there.
Sources:
Australian 1898 Death certificate of John Clark b 1813.(my great great grandfather) IGI, births of the children and the marriage, UK parish records courtesy of a rootschat researcher.
There is a possibility that this may be your MARY ANN CLARKE.

Velco,
On those dates it would seem that your Mary Ann my not infact be the Mary Ann in my tree. The year is the same but the parents names are definitely different.
John Clark(e)'s wife in 1815 was Sarah Rutter and her name Sarah is on Mary Anne's birth registration in the parish records in Hounslow UK.
As you have a marraige date 1807 for John amd Lydia and I have 1808 for John and Sarah, it would be unlikely that they are th eone family.
Of course there is always the possibilty that your John and Lydia actually "adopted" Mary Ann who was the daughter of John and Sarah. This was not an uncommon occurence when families were struggling to make ends meet or the mothers were ill or died.
Found one in my family, great Aunt Annie ,which took ages to find out she was fostered adopted by the Clarkes but was really Annie Crane whose mother had died leaving 4 young children. Don't know who raised the other children.
Hope you can find a birth registration for your Mary Ann. Do you know wherethe NOrfolk parish records are kept? That wyould be a good place to look, or have SKS look for you.
