Hi

I have been passed on some information from another researcher who says some of my ancestors were born in Boyd in Yorkshire. I have done a google, but found nothing. Has anyone heard of this place.

I wonder if the researcher was referring to your Ancestors being in the Boyds Marriage Index for Yorkshire, which lists marriage banns.  I haven't heard of  place called Boyds, in Yorkshire.

Thanks for your reply.  The nearest I can get is a place called Royd which isn't too far from Bradfield where my lot came from. I will have to double check.
