I had a look at newspapers for Rhyl and Prestatyn the other day, nothing for 1958

so we have to find the birth of Grandmother and her mother's maiden name and then find brother Robert and his marriage, etc.

Hawarden Road is quite a long road leading out of Wrexham. We are trying to locate Robert Hughes rather than a little spat between you and William.
Paul is looking at it and Chelle is getting the St Asaph birth certificate.

Roughly what age would Gwyneth be?
If she is still alive - me thinks she might be in my age group or maybe 10 years older - it will be difficult to really do much research on her on this thread as Rootschat's policy is not to mention living people.
It might be that we have to work via PM if there is a positve hit.

There is the Birth of a Robert Isaac Hughes in the St Asaph District in 1902.The GRO Reference is Volume11b,Page 330.

When I seen the Birth of Robert Isaac Hughes in 1902 I spotted an earlier Birth of a Robert Isaac Hughes in the St Asaph District in 1878.I looked for this Robert Isaac in the earlier Census years and it looks like I've found him in 1891,living in Abergele which is also given in the St Asaph District.The mebers of the Family are;
John Hughes,born Abergele c 1844.
Mary Hughes,born Llanrwst c 1843.
Ellen A Hughes,born Abergele c1874.
Mary E Hughes,born Abergele c 1876.
Robert I Hughes,born Abergele c 1878.
William Hughes,born Abergele c 1880.
David Hughes,born Abergele c 1882.
James Hughes,born Abergele c 1887.
RG12/4628/30/5.
It may sound corny perhaps,but could the William Hughes given in the above Family be the one who died in Rhyl in 1958?

Hello, not sure where he died but Gene was right when she said live in Hope  1958 electoral roll. 26, Hawarden Rd, Hope. Hughes, Robert L. Hughes, Dora.
Robert L Hughes married Dora Wilcoxson(I wonder if she is related to our very own?) Hawarden Civil 1934.
No children's baptisms in Hawarden. Hope baptisms missing 1904-1954
William Hughes was also on the electoral roll. The Lawn, Russell Rd, Rhyl.
I'll take a look at St Asaph baptisms

Gwyneth doesn't appear to have been born in the Wrexham Reg District - the two that came up don't have a mother with that surname
It might be worth doing a thorough search - NW BMD against the GRo index.

There is only one Dora Wilcoxson that appears on Free BMD.She was born in the Hawarden District in 1910.The GRO reference is Volume 11b,Page 202.

I've done a quick cross check for NW BMD births for Gwyneth Hughes against the GRO index - can't find a match on mother's surname - I may have missed one but I wonder if they moved away for a while. Chelle did mention Liverpool
I really need someone to double check.
