As it was a civil marriage, Paul, her family might well have been non-conformists and she would not appear in the parish records.

Whilst I was going by Chelle's mention of a Robert I Hughes in her initial message in finding the Robert Isaac Hughes's,following Paul's new info they may not be relevant. However there is an interesting Birth in the St Asaph District in 1910 of a Robert Leonard Hughes. The GRO reference is Volume 11b,Page 308.

You wouldn't find the Baptism if she was Baptised in a Chapel, and remember the Hawarden district covered a pretty wide area.

Thanks William - i thought I might have missed a quarter  Smiley

I think that that's all we can say about her -  She is likely to still be alive at that age.

There is one thing I can definitely say after tonight, and that is the problems there were with viewing the entries in the GRO Indexes on Ancestry appear to have been solved.Last week I was only able to view about eight entries and then it wouldn't show no more.I've viewed dozens tonight!

That's good then William.

Can i suggest that you PM Chelle with the info and delete the birth reference - protection of living individuals and all that.
