Hello everyone, could somebody please help me ? I'm looking for John William Kirby born Hunslet and would be about 18/19 in 1891. I would appreciate any info on him & any family members living with him. All I know about him is that he was a basket maker in 1912 when he married aged 40.

Do you have his marriage certificate?  It sounds as if you might, knowing his occupation  Cheesy   If so - can you tell us his father's name and occupation?

There are a few so can we narrow it down a little?
From the marriage certificate do you have his fathers name and occupation? Smiley
There is a John William Kirby born 1875 living Hunslet with parents John and Sarah
John senior being a Blacksmith living Andover St.

Hi and thanks for the fast replies. The father was called John Thomas Kirby and he was a Forgeman at the time of his sons wedding.

Cant think whats happened to them all in 1891  I found him in 1881 and in 1901 where he is blind ...either they have been horribly mistranscribed or missed off all together.. Undecided
