The IGI says that John O'Neill was baptised on 6 Jan 1768 at St Peters in Drogheda. His father was Terence O'Neill. Terence O'Neill married Mrs Terence O'Neill at St Peters, Drogheda in about 1766. Terence was born about 1740 (in Drogheda?) and his wife in about 1745 (in Drogheda?). I believe I am related to these people. Does any know any more about them or where I might be able to get more information?
Thanks, Simon

Is the LDS entry submitted or extracted? If extracted- have you looked at LDS catalogue (under Drogheda) to see if they've microfilmed church records which might be the source of the information?
Should add that Terence's wife is called 'Mrs Terence O'Neill' - why not Jane Smith or whatever her name really was?- makes me a bit suspicous of the entry.

Hello Simon, Were your O'Neill ancestors members of the Anglican Church
The earliest Electoral Rolls which include Drogheda are around the 1820s.
There are some early Poll Books for Co. Louth.
1715 (Dunleer)
1768 (Ardee) PRONI T2842
The earliest for Drogheda seems to be dated 1798.
