Hi Guy's,
I think I will make it top priority to visit Wrexham, just to see the place. I did try once in the mid eighties in an old vauxhall viva, and missed the place. Ended up in Portmarion, don't ask how. Could be that I had three screeming kids in the back of the car. Oh and a nagging wife in the front.
Paul those three baps you found of my family Hugh Edward and Robert in Pen-y-Bryn. Can you tell what Parish or Church that was?
Thanks Brian.

Thanks Paul
Just looking at an old 1833 map of Wrexham, all the streets are there. Pen-y-Bryn is shown as a long street, and yes I can see St Giles nearby.
The father of the three you mention Robert was baptized Dec 1799. Son of Edward and Elizabeth Swinnerton. Can you tell what Church that was? Just says Parish Wrexham in my notes.
Brian.
