1851 census - help pls
« on: Thursday 05 June 08 13:35 BST (UK) »

Hi to all reading this.
I have tried several web sites but cannot find a Jean Kenmuir [nee Agnew] and family in the 1851 census.  She was a widow as her husbane died in 1843 [have no idea whether she remarried].  I know she was still alive as the census was done in March and she didn't die till the July in 1851.  She was born c1770 Kirkolm, Wigtownshire.  She is in the 1841 census in Ervy, Kirkolm with a Charles Kenmure age 30 [son presemably] and Sarah age 8.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Julie

Hi Cat
Thank you so much for finding this for me.  Corect me if I'm wrong but I'm assuming Charles would be Jean's son and Elizabeth his wife and the children theirs.
Cheers
