Hello,

Can it be confirmed that William Annis Abbott b 1865, Jun qtr, was a son of George Abbott [b1837, Dec, Sudbury] and Annis Mann [b 1840, chr 15 Sep 1841, Edwardstone].

William was born in Sudbury, i don't know the village or church.

Did William marry Emma Flintham c 1892 in England before emigrating to Australia?

you said that William's parents were possibly George and Annis (Mann) Abbott perhaps Nottingham but we found that couple with a son Willie born 1865 Nayland,Suffolk.
You must have gotten those names from somewhere so wondering why you say possibly?
That William seems to be in Colchester 1881 census where he is a 'baker servant'.
1891 has a William Abbot born 1865 Nayland living in Hampstead, London where he is a signalman. (R.Port has been added by ?)
BUT 1901 has a William Abbott b 1865 Suffolk in Hampstead as a Railway Porter with a son George  Undecided

There are no marriages for William Abbott to Emma Flintham on Free BMD.

All this revolves around him being the son of George Abbott and Annis Mann.

Have you any info re Emma's origins?
