Hi MEgan,
I was not sure where to post this and which subject to use. If I did it incorrectly, please let me know. I sure hope you get this.
I am having trouble finding the whereabouts of my 4th gr grandmother to obtain her death date and place and possibly burial info.
Lorain Rowley was born in 1811 Rutland VT, married Charles Foote 1839 Knox Ohio(D), married Elon Phay 1852 Knox Ohio (widowed 1861), married Kelley 1864 Porter IN.
1870 Union, Porter County, Indiana shows her at age 58 with William Brooks age 60. There is a child listed with them - Ida L age 8, presumably his from a previous marriage.
In 1880 they are still in Union, Porter County, Indiana and according to the transcription on Familysearch.org, William is 80, and Lorain is 69.
Can you look Union Porter IN for marriage of Lorain Kelly to William Brooks between 1865-1870.
Also possibly if Lorain Brooks death is recorded in same location.

yes the marriage date is the same is what I have. Tho....it is really his marriage to Lorain which I am interested in.

No, I don't think Carlone equals Lorain. However, one never knows..til one can view the marriage record.
I think that this Wm Brooks who married Carlone may not be the same Wm Brooks who married Lorain.
I vaguely remember seeing in one of my posts, that Wm Brooks married Lorain Apr 1865...but cannot be sure.
Brooks is a common name and there could be two different fellows with two different wives. I guess the marriage dates are the key.
Tho, Wm Brooks was married before and had child Ida as shown on Census of 1870 at age 8. so could be Carlone is the mother of Ida....or not connected at all.

oops...even tho i previously thought that wm brooks m. carolene was not my lorain.....i have found that the dates are so very close. so she may be my lorain and only a misread or misinterpretation of her name maybe pronounced lorene.
if you can find that record, i sure would be appreciative. i am not a member of ancestry so i cannot look at these things easily
