A small aside for the Hill seeker.
A Hill Dring bn 1803, butcher in Boston was convicted in 1846 for stealing a horse and sent to Aus for 7 yrs.
His defence in court   " I was fair fresh m'lud"  ( drunk as a skunk!!!!!!!!)
Obviously disliked the place on arrival as he died shortly after landing!!
Nowadays they get a slap on the wrist.

He had ridden to a fair in a nearby village, bought one horse but rode away with two!!!!!
