Researching - Brinkwood, Chapman, Kirby & Swan from Kent, Marsh (Mash in some records) from Buckland Brewer, Devon, Williams, Dobson, Thurgood from London, Hanks from Nailsworth
Also Irish search - Bradford, Bradley, Conroy, Russell, Sheridan.
Also Scottish search- Aitken/Atken, Berrie, Miller, Munro/Munroe, McKenzie, Pattie. Pender
A tad disappointed that the doco makers had only sought-out a few descendants - the promo for the programme appeared to suggest otherwise - (and that they (descendants), seemed not to necessarily be, "passionate genealogists" - e.g. the preacher lady from Tassie in claiming her convict rellie, appeared clueless as to how they were related) ? I do have to admit to nearly changing channels when it seemed this might turn into another version of WDYTYA.
But after all, the story was in fact about these convict women .... and their place in history was deservedly acknowledged in this documentary.
Really enjoyed this Marty thanks for letting us know about it,must be great to have someeone so interesting and have so much information
Cheers KateNZ
