Dear Micknyve. I am new to this web site so please forgive if I get things wrong!! I read you offer to look up Parish Records in Newington next Sittingbourne and I would be so please if you could see and Roper, Luckhurst, Godden BDMs are recorded. My Roper etc line was in Newington and ran The Bull at one time they were also wheelwrights. We have just come back from Kent where we did much research but as ever I think we missed out on the fine detail in Newington. Kindest regards. Stuart Pitchford Pearson.

Dear Yvonne. So kind of you to get in touch, I will get down the names dates etc that we know. I attach a photograph {Sorry could not send with photographs too large} of the grave of William Roper and his wife Jael who are my Gt Gt Gt Grandparents. We came across their graves by good fortune when going to the Bull Inn in Newington and my wife Judi saw Church Lane and suggested a visit, there they were! There is also the grave of Stephen and another Matilda Hammon who was Stephens married sister and her husband ran a Pub in Sittingbourne but died young. You may see on the grave stone of William and Jael the living children are named. William and Jael's son John Roper (a wheelwright) is my Gt Gt Grandfather and married a Fanny Gooden, see below. Elizabeth Godden or Goding born about 1790 in Newington but you may find her parents marriage, Elizabeth's daughter Fanny Godden took her Mothers name as Fanny was born before Elizabeth married James Luckhurst. We think James was the Father as on Fanny's marriage Certificate he is named as Father. Fanny Roper as she became is my Gt Gt Grandmother and we have a photograph which I will not send as it will give you bad dreams! Therefore, any Luckhurst or Godden marriage before 1790 may assist. If you stumble across a Pack or Bond name in the marriage or burial records there is a vague chance there could be a link. I am not sure if you will be able to make head or tale of this but we do appreciate your offer of help. Kindest regards Judi and Stuart Pitchford Pearson.

Again thank you, yes this certainly sounds right. So sad such a short time after the birth of the youngest daughter Keziah, and husband George never re-married.
Many thanks and Best wishes
Debbie

Hi, Has anyone got access to St Alphege church records Canterbury, or would know where I could find them. I am researching the Admans family. I would like information about John Admans born approx 1771, George Admans born approx 1808 and any other Admans around this time. Thanks

WILLIAM JOHN EDWARDS and SARAH married about 1820
I know Sarah was born in Dover thats why Im going to start there.
thanks ever so much Marian
